UniCredit has appointed Jana Hecker as Global Head of Equity Capital Markets, effective from March 2020.

Ms. Hecker is based in Munich and reports to Luca Falco, Head of Global Syndicate & Capital Markets – she takes over from Stefania Godoli who was named Head of UniCredit’s CIB-CCB Italy Joint Venture in February.

Ms. Hecker started her career at J.P. Most recently, she co-headed Deutsche Bank’s equity cash and strategic derivatives business for the DACH region.

Alongside the appointment of Ms. Hecker, UniCredit also outlined the following internal managerial changes to its ECM platform

  • Matthias Janssen appointed Head of Equity-Linked Products;
  • Alexander Vart appointed Head of ECM Germany & Austria;
  • Paolo Garzarelli appointed Head of ECM Italy;
  • Luca Domina, formerly Co-Head of ECM Italy, to take up a new role within UniCredit’s Industry Team as a Sector Specialist for Consumer Goods.

Each of the appointments listed above is effective immediately.

Commenting on the moves, Richard Burton, UniCredit’s Head of Corporate & Investment Banking, said: “Jana’s appointment and the broader changes announced today will further strengthen our equity capital markets platform as we continue to fine-tune our offering and deliver best in class solutions to our extensive client franchise.”
