Deutsche Bank further strengthens ASEAN franchise with new head of Trade Finance and Cash Management for Corporates

Deutsche Bank’s Global Transaction Banking division today announced the appointment of Vikas Arora as Head of Trade Finance and Cash Management for Corporates (TF/CMC) in ASEAN. Based in Singapore, Vikas will report to Kaushik Shaparia, Asia Pacific Head of TF/CMC.

In this newly-created role, Vikas will be responsible for driving the strategy to grow the Bank’s TF/CMC business in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

Vikas joined Deutsche Bank in 1994. He has held various positions within the Bank in the areas of commercial and corporate banking and most recently specialised in trade finance. His last position was Regional Head of Trade Finance for Financial Institutions – Asia Pacific.

In commenting on this appointment, Kaushik Shaparia, Regional Head of TF/CMC, Global Transaction Banking at Deutsche Bank, said: “Following on from recent in-country management appointments, this new role will be pivotal in the acceleration of our growth strategy in ASEAN markets, and will help to further strengthen our TF/CMC franchise in this part of the region. I am confident that Vikas will be very successful in his new role.”
