– Joel Van Dusen joins HSBC Commercial Banking after 25 years at Bank of America Merrill Lynch
– Appointment signals strategic investment in large client coverage
November 6, 2013 – HSBC announces today that Joel Van Dusen has become its first Global Head of Large Corporates, tasked with shaping HSBC Commercial Banking’s strategic approach to its biggest domestic and multinational clients. In his newly-created role, Van Dusen is responsible for meeting large corporates’ complex needs, from credit to capital markets funding, advisory services, payments, cash management and trade finance.
Van Dusen reports to Simon Cooper, who started his new role as Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Global Commercial Banking on October 1.

Van Dusen comes to HSBC from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he held a number of offices over the past 25 years. Most recently he served as Global Head of Corporate Banking, leading a team of bankers in over 30 countries. He remains based in London.
