Standard Chartered Appoints Regional Head of Investors & Intermediaries, NEA and Greater China

Singapore/Hong Kong – Standard Chartered has appointed Barnaby Nelson as Managing Director and Regional Head of Investors and Intermediaries, North East Asia and Greater China. Barnaby is based in Hong Kong and reports to Margaret Harwood-Jones, Global Segment Sponsor, Investors & Intermediaries, Transaction Banking and Helen Hui, Head  of Transaction Banking, Hong Kong.

In this role, Barnaby will lead the business agenda for institutional investor and intermediary clients across North East Asia and Greater China, with a focus on supporting clients’ growth aspirations across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Barnaby joins the Bank from BNP Paribas, where he was Head of Client Development, Asia-Banks, Broker Dealers and Corporate Issuers. He brings to the Bank over 16 years experience in the securities services industry in Asia and expertise in global custody, cash and securities clearing, fund administration, and asset servicing.
