BELLIN and Deutsche Bank ready for Instant Payments

Ettenheim, Germany – BELLIN has successfully integrated support for SEPA real-time payments into its software solutions in accordance with the specifications of the German Banking Industry Committee, the industry association of the German banking industry. This enables, in principle, all corporate customers whose banks offer such a service to execute real-time payments as a SEPA Instant Credit Transfer via the EBICS channel using BELLIN’s treasury management system from November 17 when the specifications enter into force. BELLIN was able to successfully test this new functionality in advance with Deutsche Bank, which has been offering this service for some time.

In addition to direct processing of the payment order, the end-to-end status information available is particularly valuable for treasurers. After processing the real-time payment, the bank provides a report documenting the credit to the recipient. BELLIN’s system displays this status immediately.

“Real-time payments and status information in the system using SEPA Instant Credit Transfer represent a real leap in corporate payments, creating new scope for treasurers and increasing transparency and visibility,” says Karsten Kiefer, Product Manager Solution Management at BELLIN. “We are very quick at integrating new technologies that offer added value to treasury into our applications. We involve our clients in the developments and give them the option of choosing the type of payment processing that works for them.”

For BELLIN’s corporate customers which use the EBICS channel, the new technology smooths the transition to the era of real-time payments and processing of end-to-end status messages for single and bulk payments. This follows hot on the heels of BELLIN’s announcement in June this year that it had successfully integrated SWIFT g4C technology into its solution.
