The Irish Association of Corporate Treasurers is a not-for-profit organisation having charitable status. It currently has in excess of 400 members, including practising treasurers from major Irish public companies, multinationals and commercial state entities, as well as a significant number of smaller and medium sized companies. The Association's aims are to encourage and promote the study and practice of treasury management in Ireland, set guidelines for best practice and act as a forum for treasurers to interact and network with their peers and service providers.
Members must have a role directly involving corporate treasury activities, or in the case of professionals/ service providers, provide direct services to corporate treasurers.
The Association produces a journal four times a year
. The IACT organises seminars, conferences, training courses and social events for members. In recognition of the importance of education, the Association also runs a one-year, part-time programme for a graduate certificate in corporate treasury in conjunction with Dublin City University. This specialist programme commenced in September 1998 and in each of the last few years has ran at full capacity.
. The organization is interested in liasing with its members in person on a regular basis, permitting the organization of monthly breakfast briefings and regional treasury round table sessions.
. The IACT also organises a numbe rof leisure actvities for its members such as an annual formal dinner, an annual golf day and a 5k fun run.
. The association is involved in a yearly consoltation, the Corporate Treasury and Cash Management Conference.
