What would be the correct price (i.e., the arm’s length transaction) of a cash transaction under BEPS (Base Erosion Profit Shifting) Actions 8-10? That’s a key question which every treasurer of an international group needs to address.
Working closely with HSBC’s Global Liquidity & Cash Management (GLCM) team, TfL introduced HSBC’s Beneficiary Self-Management solution early in 2018. This solution is designed to speed up repayments and avoid the inefficiencies of making one-off, low value Oyster card refunds. We find out how TfL implemented it in order to enable better decisions and improve quality of life.
Technologies such as artificial intelligence have the potential to make it easier for treasurers to gain visibility and control over their cash. But simply investing in these technologies is not enough to achieve working capital efficiencies.
