Virgin Atlantic’s Treasury has opted for the highest possible levels of automation. Treasury plays a strategic role within the Group, providing high quality processing and decision-making. The author describes the various phases of the ‘roadmap’ which have been undertaken for automation from cash position through to settlement, explains the problems which have been overcome along the way to fulfilling its Technology Vision and identifies the benefits the various steps have brought to the Group.
