Remko Streng to become Head of Payments & Cash Management at ING Commercial Banking in Frankfurt

Frankfurt – ING Commercial Banking Germany has appointed Remko Streng as Managing Director and Team Leader for Payments and Cash Management (PCM), effective 1 September 2015. Remko Streng previously worked at the Royal Bank of Scotland and will now contribute his considerable banking experience to the rapidly growing bank in Germany.

ING focuses on customer competence

Together with Trade Finance Services and Working Capital Solutions, PCM forms the basis for the Transaction Service Sales area. Remko Streng will report to Kate Pohl, Head of Transaction Services Sales. Kate Pohl has a lot of praise for the new PCM Manager: “With his extensive banking experience, Remko possesses the kind of skills that will help drive our sales strategy forward. Remko can help us as we continue to upgrade and optimize our processes creating a noticeable added value for our customers. ING Commercial Banking Germany is growing

In terms of the corporate client business, ING Commercial Banking Germany focuses on large German companies with an annual minimum turnover of EUR 250 million and subsidiaries of large foreign corporations whose parents are ING clients. In addition to the corporate client business, ING Commercial Banking in Frankfurt also offers solutions for global investors who are implementing projects in Germany. The three key products for corporate clients are Financing, Transaction Services and Financial Markets. The total lending volume of ING Commercial Banking Germany and Austria totaled EUR 8.8 billion as of 31 December 2014 – which represents a growth of 61 percent within one year.

Remko Streng: More than 20 years of banking experience

Before joining ING, he worked for more than 20 years at the Royal Bank of Scotland, previously ABN AMRO Bank, in Frankfurt. Since 2011, he had been Head of Global Transaction Services for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2012, he was appointed to Managing Director.
