New York – Fundtech, a market leader in global transaction banking solutions, today announces that United Way of Santa Cruz County is realizing significant savings from Fundtech’s remote deposit solution. The Santa Cruz County chapter of the worldwide organization committed to education, income and health services for local communities has been able to streamline operations to save thousands of dollars in back-office costs—funding that now goes toward its programs.

Preparing deposits and driving them to the bank is time-consuming and expensive. Using Fundtech’s remote deposit solution, United Way of Santa Cruz County was able to automate check processing, making it faster, less labor intensive, or lower in cost.

“In a nonprofit organization, you want every dollar to get to the right place,” says Karen Sullivan, Chief Financial Officer of United Way of Santa Cruz County. “By investing in remote deposit, we saved considerably on back office expenses that we have been able to redirect to our community programs.”

“As a leading provider of remote deposit technologies to banks and businesses of all sizes, Fundtech also provides comprehensive services and support for check scanner devices,” says Danne Buchanan, Executive Vice President, Merchant Services, Fundtech. “For an extremely low cost, we provide and maintain both the hardware and software for businesses for which every penny matters.”
