Elopak is not complicated from a treasury perspective – the functions commanding the greatest time allocation being those of cash management and in-house banking. Our previous software was bought in the middle of the ‘90s and recommended by our core bank. However as the bank lost interest in the system, further development was very slow. Consequently we decided in early 2003 to go through the process of changing to a new supplier and after a thorough analysis of our needs and available systems, we selected AvantGard Quantum. The effects of STP are being illustrated with reference to one facet of our Treasury’s activities.
